This project had its challenges, particularly owing to the Grade 2 listed status of the building which was originally a stable block for the Mount Felix Estate upon which it sat. The clock tower itself, in Italianate style, still contains the original clock workings which our site manager had to ensure were properly protected, as well as being wound up once a week!

The works included total internal refurbishment and full replacement of all MEPH services, as well as external enhancements that respected the listed nature of the building. The outcome is terrific and what a wonderful setting for a children’s day  nursery – we are sure the families who use it will be in for a treat. A terrific performance by our supply chain on this one.
