BB Contracts were invited by Savills to tender for this project in late 2021 and secured the scheme in early 2022. The works involved the division of an existing ‘large’ retail unit into three smaller units that were more suited to the letting opportunities at the time.

We undertook works to all incoming services (gas, power, water and drainage) in order to afford independent supplies to each of the smaller units and constructed new full height blockwork division walls to create new fire compartments. The works also included alterations and adaptions to the shopfront curtain walling in order to provide entrance and fire escape routes for each unit. We worked closely with Savills, our Client (Legal & General Assurance Pensions Management), and each of the incoming tenants (Papa Johns, German Doner Kebab and Jerk n; Tingz) to ensure the various requirements were satisfied.
