We successfully completed a significant project in January 2017 for Kew College. The extension and refurbishment of their new ’30 Cumberland Road’ building was designed by Oliver West & John Scott Architects with the help of BTA Structural Design and Mendick Waring Consulting Engineers. BB Contracts were appointed in early 2016 following a successful tender bid. The Client was also supported by Listers Chartered Quantity Surveyors, Oculus Building Consultancy (Approved Inspector) and AGA CDM Advisors. The works included a full refurbishment and extension of this 19th Century house in Kew – in the process converting it in to a modern teaching facility for Kew College. The design was sympathetic to the original elements of the building, whilst managing to successfully incorporate many new features. BB Contracts were proud to have secured this £1.1m education project to add to their notable portfolio of schemes in the sector.
